Painful periods, heavy flow, lack of flow (yes, that is a problem some women have), mood swings, tender breasts, fluid retention, and pre-flow cramping should not be an expected part of being a female.

TV commercials would have you believe that women are supposed to suffer because of their hormones, that those symptoms are ‘normal’ and just an unfortunate part of being a woman.

A radical perspective is those PMS and menstrual problems may be common, thus making them ‘normal’, but they are not healthy. They point out a variety of nutritional imbalances that can often be corrected.

TV commercials would also have you believe that the only way to deal with PMS. menstrual cramps, and mood swings, along with other sometimes debilitating, symptoms is medication.

I disagree.

The sad truth is these symptoms, including PMS, menstrual cramps, fluid retention are the result of poor-quality foods, low nutritional status, and damaging lifestyles. Some women have symptoms despite having good nutrition and that is an indication that they still have some nutritional gaps.
