I would like to introduce you to the newest team-member at Cobblestone Health. I’ve known Linda Anderson for longer than I’ve known my husband. We met the week before our first week of university at the Honors program at Utah State University. Our friendship is the kind that is always comfortable, never awkward, even when we’ve had years and sometimes decades of not seeing each other. You have no doubt noticed a significant improvement in the newsletters in the past month. We can credit that all to Linda! I’ve hired Linda as my newsletter editor. She corrects my typos, checks to make sure all the links work, and makes sure what I’ve written makes sense. I love working with her!
This week will provide a 3-day test of The Empty Nest as our two teens will be away at a church camp. I’m not sure if I’m looking forward to it or not. As much as their constant interruptions can drive me nuts when I’m trying to get things done in the office, I love the fact that my office is right by the back door. When they come in (and yes, they are trained to use the back door), if my office door is open they pop in to say ‘hi’ and tell me about their days. It’s one of the reasons I love having my office at home.
Newly Married Daughter popped in last week, on day three of being a Mrs, and reassured me with a hug that they will be over often for Sunday dinners and reminded me that they live only 10 minutes away. I think she knows I miss her. As much as I have blustered and boasted that “I’m looking forward to the peace and quiet of not having kids at home,” I now willingly admit I didn’t know what I was talking about.
